The county treasurer is an elected position. That serves 4 year terms.
All county money is invested in certificates, MMDA, or checking, and are invested by the county treasurer on behalf of the county.
The office assists in the preparation of the bid documents for the selection of financial institutions used by the County.
Sales Tax
The County Treasurer can provide Sales Tax Charts for the current sales tax rates.
Effective the first day of October 1, 2021 a business within the City of Perryville has a rate of 8.475%, and all other areas in the county use a rate of 6.60%.
