Perry County Heritage Tourism Commission

Perry County Heritage Tourism was established in 2021 to help promote these elements of the county while also working to educate and provide guidance on local attractions, cultural events and more. Perry County voters approved a transient guest, or hotel tax, in 2019 to financially support the efforts of the Perry County Heritage Tourism department that operates under the direction of the Perry County Heritage Tourism Commission.

The Perry County Heritage Tourism Commission is made up of five members including representatives from the Perry County Commission, the City of Perryville, a representative from the lodging industry and two who are active in the tourism industry. Members serve three year terms, and may serve no more than two consecutive terms. Appointments are made in December of each year.

An annual meeting of the Tourism Commission is held on the third Thursday in October at 4 pm at the Catalyst Center at 508 N Main St. Perryville MO.
